Refund and Cancellation Policy

Introduction
This Refund and Cancellation Policy sets forth the terms and conditions governing refunds for purchases made through AlgoIndex.com (“AlgoIndex” or “we”) and the procedures for canceling services or subscriptions. AlgoIndex provides digital products and services (such as software, subscriptions, data access, or other online content). Because of the nature of digital goods and our commitment to maintaining fair usage, all sales are generally considered final. By completing a purchase on our site, you agree to this policy. Please read it carefully so you understand whether you are eligible for a refund, under what conditions a refund may be granted, and how you can cancel any ongoing services or subscriptions.

General Refund Policy – All Sales Are Final
Digital Products: Unless otherwise stated in this policy, all purchases of digital products, content, and services from AlgoIndex are final and non-refundable. Once you have been granted access to a digital product or service (for example, once a software download link is issued, an API key is delivered, or membership content is unlocked), we cannot revoke your access or “return” the digital content. For this reason, we do not offer refunds or exchanges for digital products, except in the specific circumstances described below. We strongly encourage you to review product information, system requirements, and any free previews or trial versions (if available) before making a purchase to ensure that the product meets your needs. If you have questions about a product, please contact us before purchasing.

Subscriptions: If you enroll in a subscription service with recurring billing (for example, a monthly or annual plan for access to AlgoIndex premium content or tools), you may cancel your subscription at any time, but pre-paid subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law. When you cancel a subscription, you will continue to have access to the subscribed service until the end of your current billing period, and you will not be charged again thereafter. Canceling a subscription simply stops the automatic renewal of the service; it does not trigger a refund for the current term. We do not provide prorated refunds for unused portions of a billing cycle. It is your responsibility to cancel in a timely manner to avoid future charges. You can cancel a subscription through your account settings on AlgoIndex.com or by contacting our customer support (see “How to Request a Refund or Cancellation” below for contact details).

EU 14-Day Right of Withdrawal (For EU/EEA Customers)
If you are a consumer residing in the European Union (or another jurisdiction with similar consumer protection laws), you may be entitled to a statutory 14-day “cooling-off” period for certain purchases. This means that for eligible digital products or services, you have the right to cancel your purchase within fourteen (14) days from the date of the transaction without giving any reason and receive a refund. However, please note the following important exception: If you purchase digital content from AlgoIndex and request or consent to immediate access/download, you waive your right to cancel once the digital content has been delivered. Specifically, for instant-access digital products (such as software downloads, data feeds, or online content access), we will ask for your express consent to start providing the service or content immediately. By agreeing and starting to download, stream, or otherwise access the digital product, you acknowledge that you lose the right to withdraw from the contract under Article 16(m) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive (or equivalent local law). In practical terms, this means:

  • If you have not accessed or downloaded the digital product and are within the 14-day period, you may request a cancellation and refund.
  • If you have begun the download, usage, or access to the digital product (after giving consent to immediate supply and waiver of withdrawal right), you cannot later claim a refund under the 14-day cooling-off rule.

We will honor all valid cancellation requests from EU/EEA customers in accordance with applicable law. If you are an EU customer and you did not expressly consent to immediate delivery of digital content, or if the product/service is not yet delivered, you may exercise your right of withdrawal within 14 days by notifying us (see instructions below). We will then disable your access to the product and issue the appropriate refund within 14 days of receiving your cancellation notice. Note that this EU cooling-off right typically does not apply to certain services such as fully performed services, perishable or time-sensitive content, or personalized items.

Other Legal Rights and Exceptions
While our general policy is no refunds, AlgoIndex will abide by all applicable consumer protection laws and regulations. This means if the law of your jurisdiction provides you certain refund or cancellation rights that cannot be waived or limited by contract, we will honor those rights. For example, if a product is faulty, not as described, or fails to function as advertised, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund under consumer law. In such cases, please contact us and provide details of the issue. We may request evidence of the problem (such as screenshots or error messages) to assist in troubleshooting. Where the product is indeed defective or misrepresented, we will work with you to provide a suitable remedy — which could include correcting the issue, extending your subscription, or issuing a partial or full refund, depending on the circumstances. This policy does not intend to limit any statutory warranties or legal guarantees that apply to your purchase by law.

Additionally, in extraordinary circumstances not covered above (for instance, a billing error on our part, a duplicate charge, or a serious technical issue with our service that makes it unusable for a prolonged period), AlgoIndex may, at our sole discretion, decide to issue a refund or credit as a customer service gesture. Such cases are evaluated individually and are not a waiver of our no-refund policy for future transactions. We strive for customer satisfaction and will be reasonable within the bounds of our policy.

Cancellation of Services
If you wish to cancel an ongoing service or subscription with AlgoIndex, you should do so before your next billing date to avoid further charges. As noted above, canceling a subscription stops future billing but generally does not result in a retroactive refund of fees already paid. To cancel, log in to your AlgoIndex account, navigate to the account or subscription management section, and follow the prompts to cancel or turn off auto-renewal. If you encounter any difficulty using the online cancellation method, you may contact our support team for assistance, and we can process the cancellation for you (effective on the date of your request or at the end of the current billing cycle, as applicable). For one-time services that are delivered over a period (for example, a consulting package or a data service for a fixed duration), you may terminate the service by notifying us, but refunds will be handled according to the terms of purchase you agreed to (e.g., if there was a minimum commitment or a notice period specified in the contract, those terms will apply).

Please note that deleting your user account or stopping use of the website will not automatically cancel an active subscription or entitle you to a refund. You must explicitly follow the cancellation procedures described for the specific service.

How to Request a Refund or Cancellation
To request a refund (in the limited cases where refunds are permitted) or to inquire about a cancellation: please contact our customer support team. The preferred method is to send an email to [email protected] with the subject line “Refund Request” or “Cancellation Request,” as appropriate. In your message, include the following information:

  • Order details: Provide your order number, purchase confirmation code, or subscription account email so we can locate your transaction.
  • Date of purchase: The date you made the purchase or the date of the last renewal.
  • Product/Service: The name of the product, digital content, or subscription you are referring to.
  • Reason (if any): While not always required (especially for exercising a statutory right), a brief explanation of why you are requesting a refund or cancellation will help us process your request and improve our services. For example, let us know if you believe the product is defective, if you’re a consumer exercising an EU withdrawal right within 14 days, or if there was an issue like being charged incorrectly.
  • Your contact information: Include your full name and the email associated with your AlgoIndex account or purchase, if different from the one you’re using to contact us.

Once we receive your request, we will confirm receipt and may follow up if additional information is needed. Eligible refund requests will be processed as soon as reasonably possible. If approved, refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase. Please allow a reasonable time for the credit to appear on your account; processing times can vary depending on your bank or payment provider (typically 5–10 business days after approval).

For subscription cancellations, we will send a confirmation of cancellation via email or through your account interface. After cancellation, you will not be billed further, but you will retain access to the service for the remainder of any period you’ve already paid for. We recommend saving the cancellation confirmation for your records. If you do not receive a confirmation within a few business days of your request, please reach out again to ensure we have processed it.

No Waiver of Policy
By issuing a refund or allowing a cancellation in any particular case, AlgoIndex does not waive its right to enforce this Refund and Cancellation Policy in the future. Each request is unique, and any decision we make on a case-by-case basis is at our discretion and does not set a precedent. We reserve the right to decline refund requests that do not meet the conditions outlined in this policy.

Changes to This Policy
AlgoIndex may update or modify this Refund and Cancellation Policy from time to time. Any changes will be effective when posted on our website. If we make material changes, we will provide a notice (e.g., on our site or via email to registered users) to inform you. It is your responsibility to review this policy periodically. Continuing to use AlgoIndex services or making new purchases after changes to this policy are posted constitutes your acceptance of those changes.
